Two Game Wins Improve West Morris To Just One Point Out Of 1st

West Morris Central JV Ice Hockey continued their winning ways when they defeated Morristown and Morris Knolls over the long weekend. Against Morristown, Central jumped out to an early lead and would never look back. Goals by Kevin Cotter, and Tanner Muscatella led the way. Goaltender James DeIturrondo notted his first shutout of the year in a 6-0 victory over Morristown, bringing their record to 5-2.

In the second game in back to back days, West Morris bested Morris Knolls in a shootout. In a hard fought battle, West Morris was able to stand strong during regulation time and take the game to a shootout tied 2-2. Goals in the shootout by Zack Kosciolek and Kurt Harrison led the way, as goaltender Mike Impellizeri completed what was an outstanding performence in net as West Morris Central went took a shootout win at a final score of 3-2. This win brings the Wolfpack to 6-2 and a mere one point out of first place in the division..

The West Morris JV is eager to take on Mountain Lakes on Feb 8th. The game starts at 5:30pm at Aspen in Randolph.
