MINUTES

October 10, 2006

Attendance:  Donna Saporito, Linda Scerbo Tom Scerbo, Bill Martin, Karen Muscat,

Kathy Sommerkorn, Ed Sommerkorn, Wayne Zoeller, Barbara Zoeller,  

Peter Halko, Gail Halko, June Jeske, Mike Jeske, Robin Gibbon, Tricia Williams,

Tom Pinto, Eddie Esposito, Mike Monaco, Kathy Strobino, Dave Kavanaugh, Robin Gibbon,

Nancy Olivo, Thomas Stadtlander, Doug Rentsch, and Rob Villano.

Call to Order: 7:40 PM 

President’s Remarks: Next meeting November 14^th.

• Welcomed all parents.
• Face-Off Dinner is Friday November 17^th.  Uniforms will be given out. Spirit wear will be available. Player’s pictures will be taken that evening.
• Accepted Thomas Stadtlander and Bill Martin.

Vice President’s Report:

• Absent

Secretary’s Report:  Please sign the attendance sheet going around.

• September Minutes were accepted by Wayne Zoeller and Ed Sommerkorn.

Treasurer’s Report: 

• Club is forced to charge same fees as last year. Varisty is $1,200.00 and JV is

      $1,000.00 due on November 1^st.

• Balance of $200.00 for Varsity is due on night of Face Off Dinner.

• Accepted by Kathy Strobino and Nancy Olivo.

Coach’s Comments: 

• Working on season schedules. League games are scheduled. Non-league games are still being worked on. Game schedule should be available by our next meeting.
• Uniforms have been ordered.
• Coaching staff is in place. Varsity coach is Doug Rentsch. Assistant is Steve Scerbo.

      JV coach is Eric Jacobson. Goalie coach is Mike Valvanno.  

• Aspen has improved ice times.
• Dress Code for all games is boat jackets, khaki pants, dress shoes, shirt and tie.
• Captain’s practice is scheduled for October 16^th, 23^rd, and 30^th.

Athletic Director’s Comments:

Old Business:

1. Signs:  Ed Sommerkorn, Rob Villano, Bill Martin, and Wayne Zoeller will do sign setups. Mike Monaco will take over Signs next year. Captains are responsible for changing sign times and dates.

2. Fundraising:

· Dom Bastello has Shoprite/A&P cards. Keep buying !!!! 

· Football Concession stand is October 20^th.  Signup sheet is being circulated.

      We need all team member participation (work, setup, and cleanup).

· Spirit wear update. Bill ordered hockey bags. Logo needed for Captains shirts.

· Ad Journal update.  Gail would like to finalize tonight. Please let Gail know of any

      outstanding ads.

3. Banquet - Location is moved back to High School due to costs.  Trying to keep costs 

      down.

4. Helmets – Varsity will get navy blue helmets through fundraising.

      Nike Bauer 4500 is stocked by Aspen  

New Business:

1. Bylaws: June Jeske will head committee to change bylaws. Volunteers are needed.
2. Cancellations:  No games or practice if school is closed due to inclement weather.
3. Pictures:  Linda Scerbo will find a new photographer.
